Most PDF croppers ask you to type margin measurements in millimetres and hope for the best. This one shows you the page and lets you draw the area you want to keep with your mouse. You see the result before you commit to it, you can nudge and resize the selection until it is exactly right, and you can add text on top before downloading as either a PDF or a JPG image.
Scanner borders are the most common reason. When a page is smaller than the scanner glass, the surrounding area comes out as a black or grey frame that wastes toner when printed and looks unprofessional on screen. Cropping removes it completely.
Excessive margins are the second. Documents formatted for print often carry generous white space that serves no purpose on a screen — and on a phone or tablet it means the actual content is rendered uselessly small. Cropping the margins away makes the text noticeably larger and more readable on a mobile device.
Isolating a region is the third. Sometimes you only need one table, one chart, or one photograph out of a busy page. Draw a rectangle around it and download just that.
Drag anywhere on the page to draw your first rectangle. From that point on the selection is fully editable: drag from inside it to slide the whole area to a new position, or grab any of the eight handles around its edge to resize. The dimensions in PDF points are shown live as you work, which is useful when you need to match a specific size.
Nothing is applied until you download, so you are free to adjust the selection as many times as you like. The Clear button removes it entirely and lets you start again.
Once a crop area exists, a formatting toolbar appears directly above it and you can click inside the selection to place a text box. Choose from six font families, set any size, apply bold, italic, or underline, and pick any colour. Each text item is independent, so one label can be large and red while another is small and black.
Placed text remains editable. Drag it to move, double-click to change the wording, or click once to select it and adjust its formatting from the toolbar. This makes the tool useful for annotating scanned forms, adding captions to figures, labelling diagrams, and marking up documents for review.
Download as PDF when you need a document. If you have not added any text, the crop is applied directly to the original file using its native page geometry, which means the text stays selectable and searchable and the quality is completely untouched. This is the option for anything that will be printed, archived, or read as a document.
Download as JPG when you need a picture — something to drop into a presentation slide, attach to a message, or embed in a web page. The image reproduces exactly what you see, including any text you added.
Students and researchers crop figures and tables out of papers to cite in their own work. Offices digitising paper strip scanner borders from thousands of archived pages. Anyone reading PDFs on a phone or e-reader trims margins so the text fills the screen properly. Designers extract artwork regions from proofs and layouts. Teams reviewing documents crop to the relevant section and add a text note before circulating it.

Drag to draw your crop area, then fine-tune it by moving the rectangle or dragging its handles. Add text if you need it. Click Download JPG or Download PDF and the result arrives immediately.
The page preview, the crop selection, and any text you add are all rendered locally in your browser — none of that leaves your machine. When you download, the file is processed in memory and discarded immediately afterwards. Nothing is written to disk and no copy is kept.
